"Whatever the case, a gullible public persists in its childish acceptance of “authority.” Jobs lost, homes foreclosed, taxes raised, services cut, pensions gone, Wall Street and banks robbing them in broad daylight, kids living at home unable to earn a living wage … other kids, out of desperation, volunteering to become cannon fodder in doomed wars initiated by psychotic politicians … yet, after all the suffering, loss and humiliation they’ve been subjected to, a majority, especially in America, tamely submit. Too insecure to think on their own or challenge what they’re told, the majority have no idea of what’s in store." - Gerald Celente, Trends Journal
There is an extreme disconnect between the people and the government. Many people are more interested in learning about the shifting fortunes of celebrities, and the stats of their favorite sports teams than they are about their own government. Those who think that any positive change is going to come at the ballot box are either deluding themselves or have been vacationing on another planet. The Democratic and Republican parties are two heads on the same body--neither or which cares one bit about the American people. Their only function is to serve the needs of their corporate masters, the banks, and Wall Street--all of which contribute vast amounts of money to fund politicians' campaigns and then expect these same politicians to advance their corporate agendas.
"The unemployment rate in the US is around 22%. Ten percent of the population controls 90% of all the stocks, bonds, and mutual funds." - Gerald Celente, Trends Journal
I remember when, during Obama's acceptance speech after he had won the presidential election in 2008, the camera was panning across the audience to show people's reactions. At one point we got a close up of Jesse Jackson's face streaming with tears of joy. I think Mr. Jackson would be crying today, but for a different reason. Obama has proven to be a hypocrite and a liar.
If you are depending on the mainstream news media to supply you with accurate and truthful information, you are looking in the wrong place. The news media is owned and operated by huge multinational corporations that tell you only what THEY want you to know. It's all controlled information (i.e., "propaganda") and is meant to keep you in the dark as to what is really happening in the world. I suggest turning off your TV set and hopping onto the Internet for alternative forms of information and news provided by guys like Alex Jones at www.infowars.com or Gerald Celente at http://geraldcelentechannel.blogspot.com.
